Virat's record celebrated...Mithali record goes unnoticed.

It was a celebration for every cricket enthusiasts when the Indian skipper Virat Kohli crossed 10,000 runs in 205 matches in One Day International innings. It did not come much of a surprise as Virat has always been a fearless cricket are have always scored big irrespective of any match situation. By doing so, he has become the fastest cricketer ever to achieve this act.

When the whole world was celebrating Kohli’s fastest 10,00 runs many of us failed to even notice a record breaking century scored by Mithali Raj in T20I match. Mithali scored a scintillating 105 out of 61 balls with18 boundaries and a six to help India A record an emphatic win over Australia A in the second T20 match in Mumbai on Wednesday. She reacher her half centuru in just 31 balls and her century in just 59 balls, which included 18 boundaries and a six. She was a delight to watch.

when India was struggling initially  at 66/4 Mithali built a partnership of 85 runs along with her Capt. Harmanpreet Kaur which took India A to a decent total of 185/5 in 20 over’s. Australia A could only acquire 156/9 as Indian spinners too joined the party and started picking up wickets at regular intervals.

In T20 cricket Mithali Raj’s 105 is the highest score by an Indian woman but sadly women’s cricket isn’t been given much importance as men’s cricket is been given despite their achievements. Our National media mostly seems to be gender biased and hopefully in the coming days women’s cricket is also given the same importance as men’s cricket and is appreciated and not overshadowed by men’s achievements.
